Arfak Chem: Chemistry Education Journal is a scientific journal, published by Chemistry Education Department, University of Papua. This journal contains research results relating to the topic of education and chemistry teaching.

Peer Review Process

Arfak Chem: Chemistry Education Journal editorial advisory board members are from previously teacher-college universities. The articles sent to the Journal are always reviewed by two members of the Editorial Advisory Board (double blind peer review), and in some cases, if necessary, by another external reviewers. The decision of the article publication is depending on the evaluation reports from the members of the Editorial Advisory Board. Article evaluation process takes approximately six months. All comments from the reviewers should be taken into account seriously, otherwise the journal cannot guarantee publication of the manuscript.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

The journal is published twice a year, June and December

 

Licensing (Creative Commons) and Archiving

This journal allow reuse and remixing of its content, in accordance with a CC BY. This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. Furthermore, Arfak Chem: Chemistry Education Journal is archieved in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS.

 

Retraction

The papers published in the Arfak Chem: Chemistry Education Journal will be consider to retract in the publication if:

  1. They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabri-cation) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error).
  2. The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing and permission orjustification (i.e. cases of redundant publication).
  3. It constitutes plagiarism.
  4. It reports unethical research.

The mechanism of retraction follow the Retraction Guidelines of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) which can be accessed at https://publicationethics.org.

 

Screening for Plagiarism Policy

Arfak Chem: Chemistry Education Journal has a policy of screening for plagiarism. We use Anti-Plagiarism Software "PlagiarismCheckerX" to check the authenticity article.
