Asesmen merupakan proses pengumpulan data pembelajaran. Asesmen menjadi hal yang sangat penting agar dapat memperoleh informasi tentang hasil belajar siswa. Instrumen asesmen autentik berperan sebagai penunjang proses dalam asesmen pembelajaran siswa di tataran sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan instrument asesmen autentik pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur dengan teknik penugasan bagi siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah adaptasi dari model penelitian pengembangan R2D2 dan model pengembangan asesmen autentik O’Malley dan Pierce. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menghasilkan produk berupa instrumen dan rubrik penilaian asesmen autentik pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur. Instrumen yang dihasilkan berupa lembar penugasan siswa yang terdiri atas dua kegiatan. Intrumen dan rubrik penilaian asesmen menulis teks prosedur ini dapat di uji cobakan agar dapat digunakan oleh siswa di Indonesia.
