ANALISIS FREKUENSI PEMAKAIAN BAHASA TORAJA PADA MAHASISWA TORAJA DI UNIVERSITAS PAPUA KAJIAN SOSIOLINGUISTIK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui frekuensi pemakaian bahasa Toraja oleh responden yang terbagi dari dua ketegori, yaitu 1) Penutur Asli dan 2) Penutur Campuran dalam ranah kehidupan sehari-hari dan ranah lingkungan kampus pada Mahasiswa Toraja yang sedang mengenyam pendidikan di Universitas Papua. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu interview, kuesioner dalam bentuk google form dan penulis akan memakai salah satu cabang ilmu linguistik yaitu teori Sosiolinguistik sebagai pisau pembedah untuk melihat pemertahanan bahasa Toraja pada mahasiswa Toraja oleh penutur asli maupun penutur campuran. Sumber data pada penelitian ini bersumber dari organisasi internal kampus yaitu Anggota Ikatan Mahasiswa Toraja di Universitas Papua. Hasil temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi pemakaian bahasa Toraja oleh penutur asli dan penutur campuran frekuensi pemakaian bahasa Toraja oleh penutur asli dalam kehidupan sehari hari-hari dan ranah pendidikan dikatakan Sangat Rendah karena memiliki rata-rata 0,6 dan 0,2 sedangkan untuk frekuensi pemakaian bahasa Toraja oleh penutur campuran dalam ranah kehidupan sehari-hari dan ranah pendidikan Cukup Tinggi, walaupun dikategorikan cukup tinggi namun dapat dilihat dari diagram diatas bahwa pada penutur campuran ditemukan nilai rata-rata hanya 0,0 dan 5,2.
