PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS CERPEN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 1 MANOKWARI

Penelitian ini berfokus pada Kemampuan Menulis Cerpen Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual Pada Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Manokwari dengan dua rumusan masalah, yakni (1) bagaimanakah kemampuan menulis cerpen pada siswa? (2) bagaimanakah model pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerpen? Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Penelitian ini menggunakan (1) observasi, (2) Tes tertulis, dan (3) angket untuk mengambil data. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil Penelitian menemukan bahwa (1) tahap prasiklus didapati 13 siswa (38,24%) mencapai KKM, dan 21 siswa (61,76%) tidak mencapai KKM. Pada siklus I diketetahui 31 siswa (81,58%) mencapai KKM dan 7 siswa ( 18,42%) tidak mencapai KKM, pada siklus II dari 38 siswa diketahui 37 siswa (97,36%) mencapai KKM dan 1 siswa (2,64%) tidak mencapai KKM. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek (Cerpen).
