Abstract

Introduction to the campus environment for new students in carrying out
PKKMB. At the time of Covid-19, many new students at the University of
Papua did online PKKMB without being familiar with the environment and
the faculty building for new students, whereas after the Covid-19 outbreak
subsided there were still students who did not know the faculty building. By
using virtual reality tour technology, which can be accessed via smartphone,
new students can familiarize themselves with the campus environment when
doing PKKMB, where new students can get to know the new environment very
well and know the location of each faculty building where they will study.
Therefore, the author wants to create an application that can help new
students at the University of Papua in getting to know the campus
environment. The author conducted research with the title "Creating a 360
Virtual Tour Application as a Media for Introducing the Campus Environment
at the University of Papua Using Unity 3D Engine". This application displays
panoramic photos of the buildings and faculties of the University of Papua in
360. Based on the research and testing that has been carried out, this
application can run well using black box testing. And we hope that this
application can help new students when doing PKKMB.
